We'll choose a location and time of day that fit your family, then I'll guide you when you need it and leave room for everything that happens naturally in between.

You don't need perfectly behaved kids or a family that knows what to do in front of the camera. Come as you are.
I'll guide you when you need it, but I'm not interested in spending the whole session asking everyone to stand still and smile. We'll move, play, explore, and make space for the personalities that make your family yours.
The goal isn't perfection. It's photographs that feel familiar years from now.
PLANNING YOUR SESSION
LOCATION.
Fields, rivers, quiet backroads, small-town streets, or somewhere that already means something to your family. We'll choose a setting that gives everyone room to move and feels like you.
WHAT TO WEAR.
I'll help with colors, textures, and outfit direction so everyone works together without feeling overly matched or styled.
THE KIDS.
They don't need to sit still, smile on command, or be on their best behavior. We'll work with their personalities, follow their lead when we need to, and let them be part of the story exactly as they are.
WHAT DOES A FAMILY SESSION ACTUALLY LOOK LIKE?
A little direction, a lot of movement, and plenty of room for real life to happen.
We might start with everyone together, then let the kids wander, race, cuddle, climb into your lap, or completely derail whatever I had planned. That's usually where the good stuff is anyway.
I'll make sure we get the photographs you'll want framed, but we'll also make space for the smaller moments you couldn't have planned.
WHEN TO BOOK
There's no wrong time to update your family photographs, but if you have a specific season or date in mind, booking early gives us the most flexibility with locations and timing.
Fall is typically the busiest season for family sessions, while spring and summer offer longer evenings and a little more room on the calendar. If you're hoping for golden hour, we'll plan your session around the best light rather than a specific clock time.

Based in La Grange, I photograph families throughout Fayette County and the surrounding Central Texas area, including Round Top, Bastrop, Smithville, Giddings, Columbus, Brenham, and the little places in between.
