You don't need a life event to deserve photographs that feel like you. We'll build the session around your personality, your style, and whatever you're drawn to, whether that's soft and understated, dark and cinematic, a little strange, or somewhere completely unexpected.

I'll help shape the direction, guide you in front of the camera, and leave enough room for us to create something we didn't plan for.
PLANNING YOUR SESSION
the location.
A field, downtown street, dark bar, motel, gas station, studio, or somewhere that makes absolutely no sense until we make it work. We'll choose a setting that fits the story we're creating.
the look.
What you wear can completely change the direction of a session. I'll help with colors, textures, styling, and outfit choices so everything works together without feeling overdone.
the idea.
Come with a fully formed concept, a saved photo, a song, a mood, or absolutely nothing. We can build the direction together and leave room to change course when something better happens.
YOU DON'T NEED A REASON
A birthday. A milestone. A creative concept you've been thinking about for months. A new chapter. Or absolutely nothing to celebrate except the fact that you wanted to do it.
Portrait sessions can be polished and editorial, quiet and simple, bold and cinematic, or completely off-script. There's no formula here and no version of you that you need to become for the camera.

Portrait sessions don't need to revolve around a deadline or milestone. If you've been waiting for a reason to book one, wanting the photos is reason enough.
If you have a specific season, location, birthday, or creative idea in mind, reaching out early gives us more flexibility to plan around the light, setting, and overall direction. Otherwise, come to me when inspiration hits and we'll figure out the rest.

Based in La Grange, I photograph portrait sessions throughout Fayette County and surrounding Central Texas communities, including Round Top, Bastrop, Smithville, Giddings, Columbus, Brenham, and beyond.
Your session doesn't need a picture-perfect location. A field, downtown street, bar, motel, studio, family property, or completely ordinary corner can become part of the story. If you have somewhere in mind, tell me. If you don't, we'll find it.

A shorter 30-minute session with 20 edited images, available on weekdays.
